9 Month Acro Program

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Registration Opens: June 17th, 2024

  • Registration Closes : when class is full  or September 30th

  • Classes run weekly from September to May

  • Proper class attire is required

TUITION

  • Tuition for the 9 Month program is based on the total hours a family is registered for. We do not price our tuition per class.

Example:

45 minutes (1class) $52.36/month

90 minutes (2 classes)$90.60/month

135 minutes (3 classes) $114.00/month

  • Tuition is due the 1st of the month

  • Automatic credit card payments are available. Email transfers are also accepted.

ABOUT ACRO

Dance Moves II is an Acrobatic Arts certified studio. Our Acro instructors are trained to instruct students through progressions that are safe and controlled. The AA syllabus is separated into six different areas of acrobatics: tumbling, flexibility, strength, balance, contortion, and group/partner tricks. Our focus on education results in students that understand the progressions and feel confident in their abilities

CLASS FOUNDATION

Our classes are focused on safely building each the above six areas. This means that we do not make tricks a priority. Beginners in our classes will initially spend much of their time developing flexibility and strength in order to later achieve the bigger “tricks” as they move up in level. Acrobatic dance is different than gymnastics.


As dancers, the acrobatics discipline provides us with the tools we need to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and “tricks.” As opposed to gymnastics, dancers perform on unpadded stages, with seamless transitions, and in groups. There are also many technical differences between progressions within acro dance and gymnastics. If you are coming to DM2 from a gymnastics program, please understand that these are two very different disciplines

PERFORMANCES

In order to focus on technique all year long, DM2 does not take any of our Acro groups to festivals. If performance opportunities are something you are interested in, our Acro classes perfectly complement our jazz and/or ballet disciplines.


Acro classes will have the opportunity to showcase their growth and knowledge at our Year End Recital in May.

PROGRAM POLICY OVERVIEW

Detailed policy forms will be sent to all registered participants prior to classes starting.  This not inclusive of all policies- if you have any questions please email the office

  • No contract to sign. 30 day written notice to withdraw in the event it is required

  • Annual registration fee is non-refundable once your registration is complete.

  • Email is the primary method of communication for the studio. We also use an app called BAND for sharing information and reminders as needed throughout the year

  • Dancers cannot participate in studio events if there is an outstanding balance on the family account

  • Studio calendar and fully detailed policy forms will be sent in September to everyone registered
