9 Month Performance Program

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Registration Opens: June 17th, 2024

  • Registration Closes : September 30th  or when class is full

  • Classes run weekly from September to May

  • Dress code required for weekly classes (Info will be sent in August to registered participants)

  • Some classes will participate in the Christmas Show in December.

  • Dancers will attend 3-4 festivals in April/May

  • Performance groups also participate in Year End Recital in May

TUITION

  • Tuition for the 9 Month program is based on the total hours a family is registered for. We do not price our tuition per class.

Example:

45 minutes (1class) $52.36/month

90 minutes (2 classes)$90.60/month

135 minutes (3 classes) $114.00/month

  • Tuition is due the 1st of the month

  • Automatic credit card payments are available. Email transfers are also accepted.

Jazz (5 Yrs. & Up) :Wednesdays

Each teacher uses their own creativity in their classes, but has the technical backing of the same syllabus so our students are all taught the same technique keeping the schools high standard. Jazz dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program.


Tap (5 Yrs. & Up) Wednesdays

Our tap classes are based on the Al Gilbert Dance Syllabus. By using this syllabus we hope to provide a strong foundation of tap technique and allowing our students to receive the best level of instruction. Tap dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program.


Ballet (5 Yrs. & Up)- Tuesdays

Our ballet program is structured under the Royal Academy of Dancing. The R.A.D. syllabus is world renowned as one of the highest standards of ballet training. Ballet dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program.


Hip Hop (5 Yrs. & Up)- Thursdays 

Hip-hop dance refers to dance styles, mainly street dance styles, primarily danced to hip-hop music, or that have evolved as a part of the hip hop culture. By its widest definition, it can include a wide range of styles such as breaking, popping, locking and house. Hip hop dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program.


Musical Theatre (5 Yrs. & Up)- Mondays

This discipline is a combination of singing, acting and dancing. This class is based on jazz technique and is influenced by the showmanship of Broadway and movie Musicals. Musical theatre dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program.


Lyrical (8Yrs. & Up)- Mondays 

*Must be enrolled in a ballet or jazz class

This discipline is a fusion of both jazz and ballet techniques. Lyrical dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. Lyrical dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet or jazz to take lyrical.


Contemporary (10Yrs. & Up)- Mondays

*Must be enrolled in a ballet or jazz class

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Contemporary dancers may participate in the Christmas Show; as well they will attend 3-4 festivals. Costumes, proper shoes and attire are required for this program. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet or jazz to take contemporary.


PROGRAM POLICY OVERVIEW

Detailed policy forms will be sent to all registered participants prior to classes starting.  This not inclusive of all policies- if you have any questions please email the office

  • No contract to sign. 30 day written notice to withdraw in the event it is required

  • Annual registration fee is non-refundable once your registration is complete. ($55-first dancer please email to find out about our family rate).

  • Schedule is subject to change until September 30th- based on final enrolment

  • Email is the primary method of communication for the studio. We also use an app called BAND for sharing information and reminders  needed throughout the year. It is your responsibility to check both regularly to stay up to date on what is happening in your dancers class.

  • Admission is required for the following events: Christmas Show, Festivals, Year End Recital and potentially any community events that the groups are invited to perform at

  • Costume and festival fees are non-refundable once they are charged ( in October & November)

  • Dancers cannot participate in studio events if there is an outstanding balance on the family account

  • Studio calendar and fully detailed policy forms will be sent in September to everyone registered
